Leave Me Alone (I'll Be Back)

Listen

A Few Words

Leave Me Alone, I’ll Be Back was born at the moment I truly stopped.

After a long time of carrying, explaining, holding space, softening edges, and staying available, my body reached a clear limit.
Not a polite one, but a decisive one.

This song came from the moment I stopped being the one who keeps things together.
Stopped absorbing what wasn’t mine.
Stopped making myself smaller or gentler to preserve harmony.
Stopped playing the role of the strong one, the listener, the translator, the peacemaker.

Setting this boundary wasn’t just a mental decision – it was something my body had to live through.
It meant letting go of an identity that had once kept me safe: the one who carries, rescues, soothes, and understands.
That letting go felt frightening.
Almost like a kind of death.

Leave me alone is not rejection.
It is a pause. A return.

The words I’ll be back carry the truth underneath the anger and the fire:
what steps away is not love, it’s self-abandonment.
What returns is something quieter, truer, and more free.

This song holds that moment where a boundary becomes embodied.
Where stopping becomes the beginning of coming home.

The Song

Leave me alone, I don’t want to talk anymore
Not about the constant victim stories that I’ve heard before
Leave me alone, ‘cause I’m quite happy on my own
And you know, I can’t see how that is wrong

I shake it off
All the weight
Now I will bathe in my own space
Nothing more
Left to say
The world will spin on anyway

But I’ll be back
I’ll come back
Just let me live, just let me be
I’ll be back
I’ll come back
Grounded, fearless, wild and free
I’ll be back
I’ll come back
As I was always meant to be
I’ll be back
I’ll come back
I don’t know when… but I’ll be my most authentic me

I was the biggest people pleaser, I was always the good friend
And I still care, but only when I’m true to who I am
I’ve been holding up the sky, keeping every ball in play
And now you know, you know why, I’m choosing my own way

I shake it off
All the weight
Now I will bathe in my own space
Nothing more
Left to say
The world will spin on anyway

But I’ll be back
I’ll come back
Just let me live, just let me be
I’ll be back
I’ll come back
Grounded, fearless, wild and free
I’ll be back
I’ll come back
As I was always meant to be
I’ll be back
I’ll come back
I don’t know when… but I’ll be my most authentic me

The biggest fear is losing everyone around
If you don’t behave the way they expect somehow
But here’s the truth: when you stick to your own heart
You never lose, even if it seem that all will fall apart

Nothing real will fall apart
Nothing real will fall apart
Nothing real will fall apart
Nothing real will fall apart

I’ll be back, I’ll come back
I’ll be back, I’ll come back
I’ll be back, I’ll come back
I’ll be back, I’ll come back

I’ll be back
I’ll come back
Just let me live, just let me be

I’ll be back
I’ll come back
Grounded, fearless, wild and free
I’ll be back
I’ll come back
As I was always meant to be
I’ll be back
I’ll come back
I don’t know when, but I know that I will be my most authentic me

Leave me alone, leave me alone
I’m coming home, to my own
Leave me alone, leave me alone
I’m coming back… home
